Eddie Rabbitt obviously never had to put ducks to bed

Hadrosaur Reflecting Pool

Duck Billed Hadrosaurs at the reflecting pool in the rain.

“I Love a Rainy Night.”

That’s what my ducks were singing last night, amid the chants of “We love ducky fun park” and “Bedtime is for HUMANS.”

The human, me in this case, was not amused. To put it mildly, it was bucketing down. Within moments I qualified as a contestant for the Miss Bryson City Wet T-Shirt Contest. (No, we don’t have one here, but I would have qualified if we did.)

Then there’s mud.

Ducks love mud. Ducks make mud where they can. If you love ducks, you have mud. On rainy nights, where do ducks want to play?

You guessed it! They play in the mud.

Mud is slippery.

If you are envisioning a slip-sliding Charlie Chaplin action packed prat fall comic event, you have it right. I love a rainy night. Oh yeah.
